Beer/wheat gut?

I've noticed some changes in other parts of my body as previously mentioned. No weight loss as yet. I find that rather disturbing. Other parts of my body are getting toned like the back of my arms. I no longer have "loose" skin to shake around. My gut if anything seems bigger. I feel like I have a huge gut. And no weight is coming off the scale. Yuck. I hate looking like this. I am happy to be feeling better in general but I need to loose this gut. I can't stand it. It sucks!! Did I mention I hate it?

2 weeks in

It's been 2 weeks into the non grain diet. I haven't lost any weight. Down a pound up a pound. Which I am disappointed about. However, I am feeling a lot clearer in my senses and I am sleeping deeper than I have in a long time. I still like going to bed late...so I am a bit tired in the morning. I'm hoping the weight loss will kick in. I want to go back 20 lbs. like I was 2 years ago. I've been spending most of my two days off a week making breads, muffins, wraps, etc. Without grains... I really don't want my whole free time to go to food prep. That's something I'll have to work out. That could end up being a big downfall to eating this way all the time. ??

day 4

day 4 of wheat belly I have lost .5 lbs. lol. More importantly I'm not as inflamed and my gut is not as bloated. yay. Only got 5 hours sleep last night so was a bit tired and cranky in the morning. Feeling good now.

Wheat Belly - Get rid of the grains

Still having problems with weight and food. Depression, mood swings, energy, stiffness, sleep probelms, thinning hair, skin issues, bags under eyes, resp allergies, joint subluxations, etc. I recently found Wheat Belly by William Davis. I feel like I've found the holy grail. I've been following his guidelines for three days. His guidelines are no wheat or junk carbs...like corn starch, potato starch, rice starch, etc. And he gives you recipes for "breads" that you can eat. Makes me feel more normal being able to eat a sandwich again. Yesterday I felt like a huge weight was lifted off me. My depression is gone! My head fog is gone! My vision seems clearer! I have more energy! My knee stopped hurting after a week of "why is my knee hurting?" Today I actually feel almost manic. I'm so excited and a little nervous. I hope this is really how I'll be able to feel not just something I'll "come down" from. I feel like dancing. I haven't felt this good in I don't know how long!!! I hope to lose weight with this program also. I've gained 25 back that I had lost 3 years ago. I'm confident it's coming off though. :) I just have to work through any issues with eggs my body has. The reasons Dr. Davis tells us about why people have are having so many problems makes so much sence to me. It's not really about food allergies and a problem with my body. It's about a problem with our food system and nutritional information. Check his Wheat Belly book or lectures for more details on this. It just feels so right like the missing piece has been found. Time will tell.
